8th Annual Ladies Day Bash Recap

IT’S A WRAP! THE 2021 MOUNTAIN LAUREL CHAMBER OF COMMERCE LADIES DAY BASH WAS A HIT OUT OF THE BALL PARK
Sometimes in these trying days we forget what it means to be a part of a community. The Mountain Laurel Chamber of Commerce (MLCC) Ladies Day Bash (LDB) held on Sunday, September 26th, 2021, at the Donegal Event Center was not one of those times!
Committee Chair Shari Bukovac of Shari Bukovac Bookkeeping stated in her closing remarks: “We try to create a fun day for our ladies. One that is filled with laughter between good friends, good food & drink and where lady luck allows some to take away a little winnings.”
Many questioned the purpose of the event. MLCC Executive Director Kris Enberg proudly pointed to the newly printed sign at the front of the room that read: The Mission of the Mountain Laurel Chamber of Commerce is to enhance the economic growth and development of the business community by offering a variety of services and programs to meet the need of local businesses, residents, and tourists. Kris smiled and replied: “Today’s accomplishments fit perfectly within our mission of offering community events for our residents.” Kris went on to say that the members of the community are now inviting their family and friends to attend. We had ladies attend as far away as Harrisburg. Proceeds from the event go to the Chamber’s budget operating expenses where they will be disbursed to continue forward within the mission of the organization.
A colossal reason and, one that is most appreciated, for the success of the LDB is, its sponsors. Rob King of King Legal Group LLC has been sponsoring the event since its inception and, Josh Crowe of BHHS The Preferred Realty had so much fun volunteering in 2019 that he graciously joined Rob this year as a co-sponsor.
Once again, the ladies in attendance flocked over the highly sought-after wine spritzers from Sarnelli’s Wine Cellar. New this year, a delicious three entree luncheon was catered by Truckin’ Fresh Food Truck. Dessert was provided by Heirloom Pines.
When they say, “volunteerism is a thing of the past”. Kris said, “not in our community!” Volunteering was a two-day event and nearly 30 people showed up to with a to do whatever it takes attitude to get the job done! The following is a paragraph taken from the event program; “May God Bless the Light on the Hill Outreach Church and Love Abounds for being with us today and every day. You ladies are fabulous! We love you and everything you do for our communities, thank you!”
Special thanks to all who sold tickets, donated items and, proudly support the event!
To take a few Facebook quotes from after the event it’s certain to say the MLCC LDB will return next year! “These ladies hit it out of the park today!” “Had a blast, can’t wait to next year!” “Really had a good time, great job!”
Kris, thanked everyone in attendance by saying; “We hope you enjoy us as much as we love having you.” She also thanked her Administrative Assistant, Stefanie Cramer, for a job well done along with, thanking her committee chair Shari Bukovac who believes; “Faith has no Fear.”
Until next year,
Friends of the MLCC Ladies Day Bash
